Global licensing agency Centa IP has recently signed on to represent worldwide licensing rights of NATE IS LATE (52×11’) produced by Watch Next Media and Nate is Late Productions Australia and distributed by Kids First.

Every morning, 10-year-olds Nate and Malika leave home 30 minutes early to go to school, and yet every morning they arrive late! That’s because every morning, something AMAZING happens on the way. But even though their stories are always true, the school’s principal never believes them…

Centa IP will first introduce the property this month at the Las Vegas licensing show and will focus on the European Market where Paris-based distributor Kids First has secured broadcasting deals in the five main countries (France Televisions in France, Pop in UK and Italy, RTVE-Clan in Spain & Super RTL in Germany) on leading free-to-air broadcasters for a September 2018 launch.

A first licensing deal has been signed with European-leading publisher Hachette. Children’s novels will be released in Q3 2018 in French speaking Europe before rolling out to other territories.

Gail Mitchell, CEO Centa IP says: “This is a very exciting time for Centa IP to be working on such a fabulous property such as Nate Is Late. We have an exceptional team who are looking forward to working on this brand.”

We are proud Centa IP has picked up the global licensing rights of our show and expect to build a strong brand together” say Philippe Alessandri, Executive Producer and CEO of Watch Next Media and Geoff Watson Co-Executive Producer.

New deals for the 52 x 11-minute series are signed with TIJI (France), RTVE-Clan (Spain) and RTS (Switzerland). These partners join a long list of broadcasters already committed to the property including France Televisions (France), Pop (UK), Super RTL (Germany), Pop (Italy), Channel 9 (Australia), Discovery Kids (Middle-East), VRT (Flemish-speaking Belgium), SVT (Sweden), TVB (Hong Kong) and Channel 8 (Israel).
